Freshman: At Johnston Community College, I felt welcomed and at ease. I arrived on the first day as a nervous wreck and am only in my second semester and already feel more confident than I ever have. I feel as though JCC helped me grow as a person. What I liked, and still like about JCC, is how easy it is to make friends. You walk in and feel like you already know everybody. What I would like to see change is the parking and utilities, as it is always hard to find a parking spot and the drinking machines break all the time. Overall, a great experience.... Sophomore: Durhamtech is obviously the best community college one could attend! I love Durhamtech for so many reasons. This is a diversed environment therefore, everyone feels safe and welcomed regardless of where you come from. Durhamtech is great academically, students find it easy taking classes at Durhamtech because it's just not comlpicated. The instructors are very open for questions and provide extra help outside the classroom. The resources of the school are available for all the students to access. The academic advisors are very helpful, there's a variety of them and they are just always available to guide and advise students as they should. The library is also a very helpful resource for students, we really feel the back up. Some changes I would like to see would be that the school needs to improve in terms of the offices services. Students need information everyday but when it's not provided more often, they loose track. Durhamtech is a very good college to start your journey.... Read 267 reviews

Sophomore: William Peace University is an excellent private college because the campus is accessible to navigate, the campus values and incorporates Immersive Learning to improve education among Peace students, and the classes are enjoyable. Classes were challenging, but they also helped me open up a variety of perspectives about life and try new things. I liked how it was easier for me to build relationships with students as well as peer tutors and my professors. The campus also provided a ton of services, clubs, and inclusive groups. They even offer student jobs and volunteer opportunities as well as off-campus. I had the opportunity to volunteer off-campus to gain leadership experience for one of my Honors classes. Also, I like that William Peace offers an Honors Program to encourage students to push further and learn different life principles such as leadership, business, and the professional workplace.
