Freshman: Working with the University of Central Oklahoma along my journey of obtaining my bachelor's in criminal justice has taught me a lot. I have learned to advocate for myself and navigate through a complicated system. I am excited to be on my path of success. I come from a challenging background. I was raised in a situation that I was trafficked in. I had to survive my initial obstacles in order to pursue a path of success. University of Central Oklahoma has been understanding with my obstacles and background. They have a great advocacy network for students. There have been a few challenges I've faced as an adult. Which include but aren't limited to; being a single parent, having a disability and having been subjected to a hate crime involving gun violence with my kids. Sophomore: I really appreciate the community involvement and loving atmosphere that is found throughout Oklahoma Christian. The professors might be strict but they are providing adversities that will be faced after college and I respect them more because of that. The food at OC could improve by supplying more variation and allowing the Eagle Bucks to be used at more places; such as Subway, McDonald's, Starbucks...and the list goes on.
