Senior: I absolutely love RIT! Although primarily a tech school, there are so many unique people and personalities that attend, proving that everybody will find their people here, no matter who you are. Additionally, there are so many programs to choose from, and many have notable alum within the department. For example, our College of Art and Design is best known for their successful photography programs and film and animation. There are so many ways to get involved in clubs and organizations! From athletics to greek life, gaming clubs, and many more. There is something for everybody. Also, RIT's co-op program makes it one of the best options for students who are career-driven. Having the opportunity to partake in 2 (or more) paid internships while still in college helps pave the way for the future and helps them put their best foot forward when looking for a job post-grad. Senior: Nazareth is my home away from home. Located in the beautiful Pittsford neighborhood of Rochester NY, Nazareth sports one of the most gorgeous campuses I’ve ever seen. You are surrounded by quaint, scholarly buildings, there’s a great fountain central to the campus, and you get all four seasons. The academics are good considering the scope and size of the campus. It is truly a liberal arts education, if that’s what you’d like. I have a major in data science with minors in math, psychology, and philosophy. I have only had an okay experience with a few professors, most are willing to meet with you often, are very personal, and create close professional relationships with their students. While not a research school, I have found a way to do some research projects through getting close with my professors, and this helped my successfully land an NSF funded REU at a D1 research school! Freshman: I took a gap year after graduating high school, and from there, entered Monroe Community College. I decided to attend MCC because I had no clue as to what I wanted to major in. Finishing up my first year at MCC, I enjoyed all the classes I took and have finally decided on my future course of study: Radiology Tech.
