Sophomore: My overall experience at Morehouse has been one that I would never realize I needed. I was at a point in my life where I did not know what to do. I sat down with my mom to select schools and Morehouse was not even at the top of my list. Everyone kept telling me that Morehouse has everything to offer and more. I finally made my decision to go to Morehouse and it was the best decision I have ever made. Without Morehouse I wouldn't be where I am today. The friends that I now can family that I have met here will last until the end of time. I have learned so much in and out the classroom. I have learned how to be a better man to the people around me. I have learned how to hold my head high when I walk in a room. I feel as though if I did not go to Morehouse, I would not be the man I am now, and it only has been a year. Sophomore: My overall experience at Morgan State University exceeded my expectations. When I first attended the school, I was in CASA-2022 and my experience there sealed the deal for me. I love how the teachers give time management advice and the layout of the buildings was easy to remember so I was always able to get around. The classes were manageable, all you need was a little time management, and you were good to go! The fall semester went by faster than expected. Though I didn't do my best that semester, it gave me some insight into what I needed to do. Then Spring semester came around and I did nothing but go to class, get something to eat, work on any assignments I had left, and repeat. Doing that I was able to get a 3.6 GPA for that semester. For next semester I would like there to be more emphasis on the clubs. I almost forgot clubs existed until the end of the semester. Sophomore: I'm a student from the Bahamas currently enrolled at the great LU. Langston University is one of the best experiences thus far since birth, for it provided me with numerous life lessons and morals. Langston University has also introduced me to a vast amount of new cultures, experiences, friends, and even a higher form of learning. This is why I wouldn't change institutions for anything. However, it has also been the eminent cause of stress and hardship among me and my mother. Honestly, there is not much support or resources that are equipped to assist foreigners. Therefore, I'm barely surviving on campus. Currently, I have a 3.90 accumulative GPA, I'm in the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Caribbean Student Organization, and other organizations. Niche User: I have enjoyed the campus tour, and the student body.Everyone I encountered was very hospitable and helpful. From what I know, it’s a decent school. However, diversity is lacking, and academics could be better from what I have heard. I am not yet a student at West Virginia State University, but I look forward to attending. Freshman: One thing I love about Oakwood is the comradery. In just my first semester I've made many friends and connections with people of all backgrounds. This school has left a great impact on my spiritual life and overall relationship with myself. Oakwood also offers offers excellent professors and opportunities within any field of study. I would also like to note that the classrooms are small making them incredibly interactive.
