Freshman: MSU is a friendly, welcoming, and supportive college. Everyone here is willing to help and always available to answer any questions. Students here feel like family and make college life enjoyable! There are so many social events and activities that make college fun and exciting. The campus itself is very beautiful and well maintained. I enjoy sitting outside and relaxing under a shade tree. There’s so many places to study that are quiet and peaceful. The dorms are some of the best I’ve seen. They are very spacious and come equipped with a refrigerator, bed, dresser, and a desk. There is plenty of closet space along with storage under the bed for your extra belongings. There are kitchens and laundry rooms available to make living on campus more convenient. There are many great restaurants on campus like Panda Express, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Chick-Fil-A just to mention a few, not to forget the cafeteria. The food here is really good. Sophomore: I do not believe I get to fully judge the experience of Pearl River Community College as I attend the smaller campus and not the main campus. Alum: I attended the Ridgeland Campus of Holmes Community College. The main campus is located about 45 minutes away in Goodman, Mississippi. Holmes in Ridgeland is a great school. The teachers and employees at the school seem genuinely happy to be working with students of all ages and backgrounds. There is an array of different education opportunities, including trades, provided at the college. Scholarships as well as work-based learning opportunities are available for students, whether first-time or non-traditional. The cafeteria is well-stocked with both hot and cold food options available morning and afternoon. There are vending machines in each building. The campus is beautiful and well maintained. There is landscaping and sidewalks throughout. The offices are easy to find and staffed fully. The professors offer normal office hours and seem to be willing to help. Niche User: Jones College is very centered around its students. There are hundreds of opportunities foe each student to excel. I graduated in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, and the college’s response and transition to online was very clear and easy. Now I am back at Jones where I will be starting the ADN Program in the fall. Jones has always made me feel comfortable in every field on campus such as the classroom, the performing arts building, the cafeteria, and even on the field. Freshman: I have just been enrolled in Itawamba Community College. I recently attended the class of 2025 orientation, and it was perfection. There are three different campus' and I attended orientation at the largest location. The campus offers various clubs and extracurricular activities as well as programs encouraging successful learning. I was anxious to attend college knowing that this is my career I am pursuing, and my life depends on my performance at ICC. I was pleased to see the involvement of helpful staff during this event. Before orientation, I had questions regarding the requirements for enrollment and every member of staff gave immediate response that instantly resolved my confusion. If I could change one thing, it would be for the other location I will be attending to offer the same involvement and activities. Sophomore: I have made some of the best of friends here at East Mississippi Community College. Learning there as been such a beautiful journey. Every professor I have had was extremely helpful. Class sizes are pretty small, so I received as much one-on-one time with my professors as I needed. They also offer free in person and online tutoring, which has helped me a great deal. Freshman: I liked that the community college itself is well organized just like other institutions are having three different campuses of the same college. It's school that is not very expensive and makes a great start to earning any sort of degrees in particular. They also have technical programs that many students can be involved in to have prior experience of working in the field of their desired occupation they want to go for. Colin also works hand to hand with many financially supportive organizations and programs in which they offer a lot of assistance to any student's needs throughout college. Alum: I loved my time at Mississippi Delta. It's a small campus, so it's easier to get to know people. The instructors are willing to work with you and really care about you. They are also very knowledgeable about their subjects. Their website is very easy to navigate, and they use canvas so you can always see your grades and homework assignments. They also host all kinds of activities for students. The campus is nice, and they are currently taking on new building projects to make it even nicer. It is also a very diverse campus with various groups being represented. Not to mention, it is also way cheaper than attending a university.
