Senior: The school is great. As a CS major, I've learned a lot more than I would have at other colleges and have been told by people who transferred here that they are surprised I have gone through twice as many "real-life" scenarios and projects in my classes compared to them. There is a roughly equal amount of time spent on learning the theory and gaining experience in all of my classes which has helped a bunch in understanding the content. The main issue I have with the school is cost. Going here will cost a lot, but it is offset by the quality of the school. Since it is a private Roman Catholic University, I thought it would be extremely conservative, and prejudice toward different minority groups. Freshman: I had a great experience at Richard J Daley College.. The staff was very nice and helpful., The teachers were very hands on with many different teaching styles.. The classrooms were comfortable and not over crowed..another good thing about city colleges is, they can prepare you for a 4 year program in a university.. Many four-year colleges and universities have enrollment requirements that someone isn't ready to meet. A community college can offer remedial classes and general classes to help a student obtain the education they need to pursue higher education, for a cheaper price, while boosting their GPA.. The only thing I would add in a city college is probably a office somewhere in the building, that focuses only on the grants that’s offered to the students..
