Freshman: The university of South Carolina is very diverse. The professors are very genuine and passionate about what the teach. The campus is in the heart of South Carolina, Columbia. It gives you the mix of city life in a more southern area. The students are very kind and love to have fun. The athletic teams here work very hard and continue to improve each and every season. The campus has tons of options for affordable housing. I personally find the 650 Lincoln the best. The campus has many food options, from home-cooked food, to establishments such as Chick-fil-a, jersey mikes, Starbucks, and many more options. The student life is great, and very safe. The campus has its own police force, with emergency stations placed all throughout campus. It's known that if you press an emergency station, an officer will be there to help in less than 60 seconds. Alum: I majored in Biological Sciences. The classes were certainly hard, but that was expected. I did not have one bad professor. The Biological Sciences department was great and my advisor was very helpful. The campus is beautiful! All of the students were nice and proud to be Clemson Tigers. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the university and in the community. The university police are extremely nice and are constantly on campus keeping it safe. There is always plenty to do. Downtown is just a few steps away from campus, and the nightlife is great there. Sophomore: Bob Jones has a great staff! All of the professors are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is amazing. Many of the students are excited to make new friends. Though some rules may need to be changed, they were made before today's generation and have the potential of being changed or altered eventually. Freshman: During my first year at Tri-County Technical College, I was surrounded by students and staff with a can-do attitude and a willingness to help others. The broadcasted and available support throughout the campus makes the students feel like they are not alone through their college journey, whether they are freshmen or seniors. Something that I enjoyed and made a difference in my academic career was the Student Success Center. There were many resources that were available in the center that could help with not only studying but for extra help if needed. Some of the resources that were available included; tutoring services, private study rooms, and the writing center. Something that I would like to see change is the hours of the campus store. The store closes at five-thirty. This closing time can be difficult for some students due to the times that their classes get out. Senior: I have LOVED being a student at Anderson University. I am a Senior and dread graduating and leaving this beautiful, life-giving community. I feel so supported by my professors at all times, as some have become my life guides, mentors, and second family. The intentionality and attention given to students across so many departments - Psychology, Health sciences, Marketing, Spanish - speaks to the character of our faculty. One of my favorite aspects is living on campus - I feel safe and connected on campus, while having my own space to live with my best friends, a little ways from the university. With that comes eating on campus daily, which I still enjoy, something not many college seniors in other places are able to say. There is so much variety in our cafeteria, plus we now have a taco truck, which is one of my new favorites! Come see for yourself - you will be treated as honored guests in just a 3 hour visit....
