Hillsborough Community College
Freshman: My experience with Hillsborough Community College during my first year was great. Just like how teachers from high school would explain, especially from AVID classes, college is very flexible as we can simply pick our classes, our teachers, and what days and times we want throughout the week. However, certain student advisors are very verbally brutal - especially with my experience at the Brandon campus, this kind of damaged me mentally, and I was discouraged easily with my first major as I thought my prerequisite GPA was nowhere competitive. Another small issue I've noticed during the spring season, from the Brandon campus alone, are the invasion and growth of little fuzzy caterpillars outside the buildings - those little critters quite scare me. Other than that, Hillsborough Community College has been a wonderful experience so far and their SGA has been so active to help many dedicated students at ease!
