College Junior: I love how close I am to my school, so convenient! :-) The campus is small just like the size of the classes, which is awesome because the teachers can dedicate more time to students as individuals. Also since the classes are small, you know everyone in your class. My classmates have become my extended family. I attend the Maxine Smith campus, which is a four level building, classes are easy to find. Our police officers are friendly and our teachers care. Even though I attend a community college, they offer study abroad and a honors program/society! I was in the honors English class and we took a field trip to the Civil Rights Museum, it was quite fun! I had never seen the art gallery in the museum, got to the museum was an well needed experience. Personally, I believe Southwest is the best choice for my first two years of college, because I skipped the tenth grade and I was not completely ready to go to a four year university.Since the classes are small, they are the perfect transition from high school to college. Plus within two years I will have a degree while my competition will not, this gives me an edge. Also, the schedule is very convenient; I currently have no friday classes, three day weekend! :-) Since I am participating in the Tennessee Promise, a program that gives high school seniors two years of free community college and a pathway of courses to take that automatically transfer to a four year university, my transition from high school to college has been very smooth. I would most definitely choose Southwest again, my experience has been amazing.
