Sophomore: Case is not only supportive to its students, but the students themselves really care for each other. The challenging academics makes this very important, and having that support is great. You will learn an immense amount, especially if you get involved in clubs. I am apart of Case Rocket Team and I enjoy my time and friends in the club immensely. The projects we work on are insane, and combined with classes I am plenty busy! I feel as though people in these reviews mostly love the university for its opportunities, but some bash on it for not being the most socially active. Honestly your experience comes down to what you do! There are a lot of clubs, organizations, research opportunities, and of course greek life to have a good social life. Niche User: My son is planning to go and from visits, as well as discussions with other students, we can tell it’s a special, amazing place. With a recent $100 million donation, they are building 3 new dorms, renovating some dorms, and tearing down some. The library and athletic complex are spectacular. A modern light filled building is almost complete that will house the center for American democracy, political science and history departments. The science center is gorgeous. Upper class houses are amazing and allow groups of friends to live together in rows of real houses, with outdoor areas etc. The students he spoke to all said they have a great time on weekends, so much so that even those who plan to go on road trips often bail at the last minute bc they don’t want to miss out. Sophomore: Overall, my first year was very successful. I met amazing people, joined exciting clubs, and was excited about some of my classes. Even though the atmosphere is big and sometimes overwhelming; I quickly found it comfortable when I found my niche of people and activities. I would like to see actions following Ohio State's diversity claim. I remember there was white supremacist incident were inappropriate language was painted somewhere and Ohio State emailed everyone saying how wrong this was. In addition to how diverse and caring Ohio State is, but I didn't see the actions following up on that. There is cultural events, but I feel either sending out information or holding events related to current racism would be beneficial. Alum: My experience at Oberlin College was wonderful overall. Yes there were some bumps in the road socially and academically challenges but I wouldn't choose somewhere else if I could do my undergraduate over again. Key thing was having a community that looked like me and support me socially and culturally. Freshman: As I near the end of my first year of college here at the University of Cincinnati I’d like to say I can see myself here for another 3 years. The campus is amazing and I’ve made amazing friends here throughout this first year. I’ve had 1 or 2 professors that aren’t the greatest but everyone else has been amazing. Here at UC there’s always something to do and I never find myself bored. Whether it’s hanging with friends, playing basketball at the recreation center, or enjoying a walk around campus I’ve always had something to do. Freshman: I am currently a freshman at Ohio Northern University majoring in exercise physiology. First time coming to campus was a great experience, I immediately felt at home and loved the people! There is a lot of green space on campus and everything is within a 15 minute walk. Athletic facilities are good, two weight rooms and a cardio room for students to use. Senior: Absolutely amazing experience at UD. I passed up so many 'higher' ranking schools to go here, and I am so happy I did. In engineering, both academically and professionally I have been able to push myself as far as any other school in the country—and am now working with numerous people from top notch & Ivy League schools. UD led to 5 fantastic internships with Fortune 500s, international non-profits, and cutting edge research groups. Junior: Wright State University (Dayton campus) is an amazing institution. It is located in Fairborn, Ohio, and the closest big city is Dayton, although Columbus and Cincinnati are fairly close too. All of the professors I had during one semester there were amazing (majoring in psychology). The campus is beautiful, especially in the fall, and the school has underground tunnels for when it is cold or raining outside. The dorms are close to the campus, and for people with cars, there is parking available. There are a lot of international students. There are a lot of commuter students too, so the events on campus are not visited that much. However, they are awesome! There is a fitness and wellness program, with a swimming pool, group fitness classes, two gyms, and more. Wright State is one of the cheaper universities too, especially for locals. Beyond its reputation of being a "top-notch " university, and having a superior liberal arts curriculum, the University prepares you for the "real-world" by providing extensive career and internship opportunities. Freshman: My experience at OSU Mansfield has been an experience that is worth more than words can say. But, to try to put it in words, I would say that it is the most welcoming environment. Here at OSU Mansfield, everyone is friendly and willing to help each other. The professors are absolutely amazing and try to get to know who you are. The classes are small with about 20-50 people per class. This campus offers many things that you could never get on a bigger campus. The best part is that it's cheaper! Sophomore: As I complete my second year here at the University of Mount Union I have found that this school was a perfect fit for myself as a college student wanting to achieve a higher education.
