Freshman: My first year at Rutgers was something I’ll never forget. I made a ton of friends, learned the ways of film, and got my first job. The university has taught me things that I wouldn’t have known otherwise. I like the diversity and the different campuses, what they have to offer and what major it’s best for. For example, cook/Doug campus has a lot of people who major in the arts, Busch house mostly Engineering majors, Livingston houses biology majors and so on. What I don’t like is the amount of buses that are available, more buses need to be prompt on picking up people. Freshman: I loved Stevens Institute of Technology. I was first introduced to this college through my friends and family and fell in love with it at first sight! Now, I always enjoy studying with friends both old and new who are just as engaged in their academics as I am. To add on, I love the increased proximity to the city compared to where I reside at home. In this campus, I constantly have a view of New York, and I love visiting there all of the time with my friends. One of my favorite parts of Stevens was the dining experience. There was always a large amount of areas we can eat from, as well as many outside areas we could use our GrubHub Bucks on. I was always in a good mood due to the fact that I could order whatever I wanted, practically whenever I wanted. To conclude, the close parts and small amount of students allowed me to participate in classes that held a relatively small amount of students. Senior: Monmouth has a beautiful campus and they do their best to have a connected student life. From activities on campus to many clubs to join , there are many ways to meet new people. Living on campus is extremely helpful as well , because you have the inside scoop about the campus- life and the RA’s put together a lot of activities for dorms. Monmouth provides excellent education and a wide range of sources to help you excel in the classroom. This includes great staff that is easily reachable , tutoring programs , and students who are willing to help as well. Along with this , there are plenty of other perks the campus provides. There is a nice gym and swimming pool for students to enjoy. Also, trained students run excise classes from yoga to Zumba. Finally , Monmouth is located in a beautiful area! Freshman: Rowan is an excellent school for those who want to find many opportunities, whether in academics, careers, or student life. As a first-year student, I have felt very welcomed at Rowan and have found that it is easy to make friends here, as long as you get involved in the events and clubs that happen throughout the semester. There is always something to do here! The Music Industry program has been fantastic so far and there are always opportunities floating around to immerse yourself in the industry and start your career. Safety in the surrounding area is a concern, so students should always stay vigilant. The food gets tiring after a while, but I'd say there are many options around, especially since you are not limited to your meal swipes (Rowan bucks and dining dollars are your best friend!) Sophomore: I have had a great experience with Rider so far! Even though I am only a sophomore I have had so many opportunities! Rider’s 150 clubs and organizations to choose from really allows students to find their place! Something that was important to me while starting the college process was looking for a school that valued their academics, and Rider definitely does that. In my major I am able to start my fieldwork starting as early as my sophomore year! I am able to have more experience in the classroom then any other school I looked at! Senior: I have been going to Drew University for four years now and I am planning on entering the school's Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program for next year. The B-MAT and MAT are both gems here at Drew University. The program helps students who are preparing to become educators, linking us with internships, school observation opportunities, and student teaching positions. If you are looking to become a teacher, I definitely recommend looking into Drew's MAT program. Another really nice part about Drew University is the town it is located in. Madison, New Jersey is a really nice town filled with cute Mom-n-Pop shops and several restaurants. There aren't many chain restaurants besides the Chipotle and Domino's, so it can be a bit price-y, but the atmosphere is very pleasant and safe. The only downside to Drew would be the food situation. While I was nervous as it is a bigger campus and a 4-year university, I assimilated quickly as the student community was strong. The professors give a stimulating amount of work and will accommodate to your needs so long as you tell them your situation. Senior: My experience at Bloomfield College has its ups and down but overall it has been an amazing experience, I’ve had numerous opportunities to get involved on campus, the number of resources that are available for students have been amazing, I’ve gotten help with my tuition not only for financial aid but also from programs such at Trio SSS, McNair Scholar Program and if you are in EOF you can also get assistance with fund from them. Bloomfield provides tutoring services at the tip of your fingers for whatever subject you require. They also provide plenty of on-campus jobs in every department on campus, as a student, you can have more than one job on campus but you are allowed only one work-study job. This is beneficial because if your class schedule does not aline with a outside job then the on campus job will. Overall this is a pretty good school, you will make the best of it.
