Freshman: ASU online has been nothing but easy and enjoyable! It’s very easy to navigate and you are given all of the resources needed if you have any questions. The staff have been kind and accommodating to me. After a few bumps in the road with my admissions, they were able to get it all handled and help me get back on track. They are quick to respond and you never feel unheard. Being online allows for me to continue working full time, while still going to school but on my own time. You are given a due date for each assignment, which helps significantly with planning your week. You never feel rushed. Although being a student online, with the help of the discussion boards, I feel like I’m still apart of the ASU community. It allows us to still communicate with other students, while still doing the work from all around the world. I definitely wouldn’t have it any other way. Alum: Northern Arizona University is located in a mountain town, Flagstaff,AZ. Where the greatest attraction besides the school is Humphrey’s Peak (the mountain that overlooks Flagstaff,AZ), the Snow Bowl that allows all to ski and snowboard as they please, and the biggest tourist attraction of all are all the downtown authentic shops, boutiques, cafes, bakeries etc. Where everything is handmade and/or crafted by original vendors. The school itself gives a wide variety of programs ranging from mathematics, education, nursing, dental hygiene, business administration, etc. Professors are plentiful, where all can take a certain class but with different professors as they please. Tutors, university games, gyms, computer labs, science labs, university pool, tennis and basketball courts are all paid for within tuition too! Freshman: The Downtown Phoenix campus of ASU is really great! Staff there are friendly, and the dining hall food is also good most of the time. Teachers are easy to reach, and communication is also very simple, you just have to do it first! They won't go to you! The people on campus are also really nice for the most part, it is really easy to socialize with the events that are always happening either on dorm floors, the patio floor, on Taylor Street, or in the Civics Space Park nearby. I have been able to meet lots of people on campus and even the TA's are super helpful. There are also many areas to study like the common areas on each floor, the many tables outside the dorm, library, or even Starbucks on the first floor of Taylor Place! Downtown Campus is also pretty clean for the most part, some trash here or there, but people there are very tidy and seem to be serious about their studies. Great experience overall so far.... Junior: I love ASU! The polytechnic campus is smaller so its easier and faster to get from one classroom to the next. I absolutely loved my professors! They all feel like they actually care about our education and our concerns. I'm learning the material and when I have questions, I'm not afraid to ask the professor. I love all the events that happen on campus, especially the free food! My favorite place is the library! I can go there when I need some peace and quiet and the librarians always have book suggestions that actually help me. I can put my headphones on and relax on the couches and study for my classes. The community at the polytechnic campus is strong. I always feel so welcomed. Make sure to join a club, the clubs are always so worth it. I wish there were more choices for food on campus.
