Senior: It is a christian university and there are many great things about it. However, many of the students who attend lack maturity and it can be disappointing when trying to find good christian relationships. Despite this, there are some great things on campus. Including prayer group and powerhouse. As far as the majors, I have experience in 6 different majors. The Bible program can be intense but it is good. Our music major is okay, but definitely more band focused than choir. Our business and athletic departments are both amazing and I have loved every moment and interaction in these departments. I have also heard wonderful things about our nursing department from friends but I personally am not a part of it. Overall, it is a good school, but if you are a conservative, be prepared for a lot of left wing views. Niche User: I have visited Westminster College twice in the last four months. Both times, I was invited by a football coach. On the first visit, we took a tour of campus, visited the football facilities, and watched a football game. It was an amazing visit. That day, I got an offer to be a part of their football team. Westminster became my top choice, and it has remained number one since then. Recently, we went on a second visit. This time, my dad attended with us. He was as impressed as we had been the first time. I have applied to Westminster, and I received my financial aid package offer in a very timely manner. Every step of the way, throughout this process, Coach Blake has been a tremendous help. He is more than just a coach. He is a mentor. Sophomore: Lebanon Valley College is setting me up for success in life. LVC is a private college that ranks #1 is PA for job placement consistently. I love how small the school is, students can have personalized attention with the professors. I have gained valuable connections and will be doing research on chemotherapy this upcoming school year, and I’m only going to be a sophomore! I cant speak much on other departments but the science department is strong and rigorous. I am a neuroscience/pre med major hoping to get into med school to be a doctor/surgeon one day and I can say that these science courses challenge me, and I graduated 3rd in my high school. I feel as though I will be well prepared when I get into med school. LVC is a beautiful place and is very generous when it comes to financial aid. I got the Allwein scholarship, so my tuition is taken care of, but the school gives everyone big financial aid packages, the better your GPA in high school the more money they will give you.... Junior: When I first arrived at Eastern University I was fascinated by the nature. It is a very beautiful campus filled with many animals, flowers, and life. As I became more involved with campus activities, I found it easy to make friends, talk to professors, and find stuff to do. Alum: It is a wonderful and small campus, which is exactly what I needed. I had some of the most incredible professors, and learned so much about myself and my own beliefs and goals in life. It is highly reformed Presbyterian, which doesn’t line up with me at all, but they encouraged me to figure out my own views instead of having to conform to theirs. I was a Youth Ministries major and loved the program! It’s a very safe campus, and the only real complaint I have is how horrible the sports are. Alum: Elizabethown College is a tight community with dedicated professors and cheerful students. I attended in the 80's and the spirit has remained unchanged. There are many suburban high school students looking for a comfortable environment like Etown. Living on campus is quiet and college community oriented. The academics are excellent, on par with colleges that have higher rankings. While the college is no longer officially tied to the Brethren church, there is a history of acceptance, service and tolerance that is a strong reason for some students to consider Etown. While there is no Greek scene at the college there was a lively party scene on and off campus when I went there. Niche User: I have been in the nursing department for a BSN and the only thing I can say is that I am glad I chose this school. At Waynesburg they will teach you the med surg classes, Pathophysiology, pharma etc. But the difference is that they make you think. If you want to be a smart nurse who will keep learning and who will be pushed to be the best nurse as possible, pick Waynesburg. I am glad I did. I work as a nurse now and I have been making great decisions in my shifts - picking up on cues when patients needed higher level of care, emergent interventions etc. That is thanks to Waynesburg! Sophomore: Arcadia provides pathways and networks for students to advance their career, alongside many opportunities to be flexible with career paths. There is also a nice campus life and student body, where events are semi frequent and being social is incentivized. Many members of the faculty care for the students and what they are going through, with that said there is some solidarity across campus--between student, teacher and such. Senior: I am in Pedas a lot on campus. It is a newer and upkept building. Admissions students working there are always nice and will help you. The facility there is almost perfect too. Prof. Humphrey is energetic, sweet, and made my creativity and passion blossom. He gets stuff done in Pedas, which we need. Prof. Lana (Kulik) is someone everyone wants to be. She forces you to learn. Super intelligent and always tries to see both sides of things. Staff Jacob Clark has grown so much at his time here at Thiel. I hope he continues to do so. I wish he could do more here. Staff Paul Coatsworth has taught me more than anyone at this college. He is the most experienced, so he makes a great leader and mentor. He also has pushed for the necessary upgrades in Pedas and helps everyone master the equipment. (On that note, check out our new podcast room! It's pretty cool and open to anyone!) Freshman: Overall, my college is very unique. In all one street people who live in Reading all have their education all in one line. Which is very cool to people who aren't from the city of Reading, PA. The school itself is very diverse and takes pride in that. We are all about the community and they care about their upcoming students. We moved in a few days before the school year started just to get comfortable in the college setting and get to know our teachers.
