Sophomore: Florida Southern is a great school if you are looking for meaningful relationships amongst your professors, beautiful scenery when you need to take your mind off of school, fun activities, and all around welcoming people. Senior: So EDU may not be your FAMU, Clark, or Grambling, but it is an official HBCU tried and true! The events they offer for us students are amazing I remember Rick Ross came to speak, Nia Long and T.I aka Clifford Harris. To have celebrities like that make their way to our little university here in Jacksonville speaks volumes. Not only is EWU a great university based on events the professors are amazing and truly care about the student’s education. Niche User: I visited BCF and considered attending in the past. I was in the dual-enrolled program for three semesters with this college. I had a great experience as a whole. The classes were very good quality and I truly learned a lot. The main reason I decided not to go was because it was just too far from my house and my family. They have just refurbished the old dorm so the living areas are great. Did I say free laundry? There were one or two teachers I didn't care of but by and large the faculty are wonderful. The campus is small, I wish it was larger, but that comes with time and more students. Graduate Student: The professors and staff was very helpful and empathetic towards everyone they showed no prejudice. They was very helpful in any area that I needed help. They did not just teach, but they instilled in my just how special and smart I am, and they encouraged me every day that I can do it and because of that I did it, and I made it I am at the age where I can't keep up with the younger students but they was considerate, and kind. If not for their consciousness of me as a person I would not have made it. There was a time that I wanted to give up one of the professors talked to me and listened to me, he told me that I am cut out for college just when I needed that talk.
