At first, I was very excited to start school and then the pandemic hit. I felt sad because I preferred the in person experience and no distractions from my own home. Regardless, the school did manage to teach and support each student by giving iPads for communication. The teachers are great and only taught the basics which was nothing compared to clinicals. It was the real life experiences that got me thinking about school. The healthcare industry is forever changing which means new techniques are applied in order to fulfilled better patient care. This left me to drop some old techniques that was taught for almost two years and follow the improve way of handling cases in a new perspective. If I where to change anything- it would have applied to community college because the it was way too expensive. Also, the degree should have been a bachelor's because it was way too much information. Lastly, I would like to thank the teachers, doctors, nurses, and my family for their support.
SJVC is a great school to go to if you like a lot of hands-on and small classmates where the teacher knows you and wants you to succeed in the future. In any program, you choose to be in there will always be support from everyone. In my program every was close and it became like another family because of everything we been through we all did it together. Something that I believe they should change is to equally give the same amount of effort they give to the morning classes to the evening students as well.
Great private school that helps you with anything you need. They gave me a tour and estimate of how much I would be paying per month as well.
What I didn’t like would be how they couldn’t offer to bring the prices down for the monthly payment. My only options were paying per month, enter scholarships or student loan from salliemae
