International Studies and Journalism; I think Mesa's crowning feature is its emphasis on cultural understanding, so naturally its International Studies program is great. Plenty of anthropology, history, economics, poltics, and philosophy courses to take. There are also two summer study abroad programs available--in Paris and Madrid--that are affordable and AMAZING. For journalism, there are plenty of writing and journalism classes, as well as an anual literary/arts publication and a school newspaper that you can work on as staff. However, Mesa only focuses on print and online communications, so the program wouldn't be sufficient enough for someone wanting to do broadcast or multimedia.
