What I like about San Diego Mesa College is all the professors I've had are great. The food is also great and had improved a lot in the past year. There is currently tons of remodeling and it is all looking great so far. One thing I'd like to see change is the cafeteria bringing back nacho cheese to put on regular fries. Both sides of the new cafeteria serves cheese fries, but the one side that serves nacho cheese only serves curly fries. Whereas the the other side that serves regular fries only has shredded cheese and no nacho cheese. Someone fix this!
Review Your College
San Diego Mesa College is wonderful! They offer a ton of transferable classes other colleges don't. If I could change anything it would be parking, they should get a parking structure or make public transportation more accessible.
International Studies and Journalism; I think Mesa's crowning feature is its emphasis on cultural understanding, so naturally its International Studies program is great. Plenty of anthropology, history, economics, poltics, and philosophy courses to take. There are also two summer study abroad programs available--in Paris and Madrid--that are affordable and AMAZING. For journalism, there are plenty of writing and journalism classes, as well as an anual literary/arts publication and a school newspaper that you can work on as staff. However, Mesa only focuses on print and online communications, so the program wouldn't be sufficient enough for someone wanting to do broadcast or multimedia.
