Salem International University Reviews
Salem University is a great school for students who enjoy small communities. The university is mostly made up of student-athletes living on campus, in doing so it creates a small little community where we support each others teams by attending each others home games/meets/matches. Unfortunately their isn't much nightlife or daylife in and around campus as the university is located in the small town of Salem, West Virginia. To put it simply the nearest Mc Donoaldsis about 25 mins away.
What I like about Salem International University is that everyone knows each other because it is a small school and also everyone supports each other in sports teams. Being at Salem you learn to become independent as you start to do stuff more on your own. The schooling system is very helpful to athletes because here at Salem you take one class a month but in that month you cover everything that you would cover in a semester. It gives you the opportunity to have free time and also focus on your sport and for you to really understand the subject that you are learning.
Small University bring people together and great atmosphere around campus. Food could definitely be improved along with new dorms. Overall it is a much different educational experience by taking classes on a 4 week block. Allows students to truly concentrate on that individual class and fully emerge into the learning process.
