Rose State College Reviews
Hello! My name is Aliciah Walker and I am currently a second year student at Rose State College. My major is Pre-Med and I graduate in May 2017. Rose State has been an awesome school for me. The people here are extremely helpful and encourages students to succeed. For Rose State to be a two year college, students really get the experience of a four year university. Rose State has housing which are has been there for two years and are fairly new. The student life on campus is outstanding! There are students that come from all different types of countries, states and towns. There are many clubs to be involved in and students can also make a club of their own. But in my opinion, the most important thing that Rose has to offer are the advisors. The advisors are focus and determined to help students down the journey of success. Advisors at Rose State treat the students as if they were one of theirs because they actually care. My overall experience at Rose State College is phenomenal!
I have been at Rose State since 2012. I started as a concurrent enrollment student for two years before beingfull time. I truly enjoyed my time at Rose, the faculty is amazing and they truly care about you and want to work with you to ensure you succeed. I have an associate in Sociology and psychology and I am working on my BSN. My professors in all my courses are wonderful, they get to the point where they know your name. It's nice because it makes it so much easier to go to their offices and ask them questions or express your concerns. They listen and they do what they can to help you. I work full-time and I had various semesters with 16+ hours at school and I finished with mainly A's and an occasional B. It's definitely possible to do well at Rose State College. My advisors were great people, they always answered emails promptly. They send emails about the campus events so they really try to get you involved! Always proud to be a Raider.
Rose State offers a neat, well organized and medium-sized campus where all of your buildings are tucked into a nice row, and are well marked as to what division the building is assigned to. The advisors are very helpful with course selection and the admissions staff are well trained. I really felt like the staff cared about my education and grades, maybe even more than I did!
