They have wonderful academic advisors that are dedicated to students fulfilling their educational dreams and making sure they know what resources are available to them. They offer a variety of morning, evening and online classes that make it easy for the working individual to continue to pursue their educational desires. My experience at Rockingham Community College is wonderful! What I personally like about RCC is that the professors are very lenient and easy to get along with. They go out their way to ensure that you can be comfortable and succeed. What I also like about RCC is the fact that you can meet so many people and become fast friends. However, there is always room for improvement. One thing that I would like to see change is a more organized website to be able to check your grades and assignments instead of having to hunt for them, or even wonder which links lead to your actual assignments. Aside from this, RCC is a wonderful place that can change the lives of many in the community.
RCC is one of the cheapest schools to attend in North Carolina. If you are looking for a community college to get a 2 year degree and then transfer this is the best school for you. Its in a fairly small town so there isn't much to do, but the campus food and events are good enough you really will not have to leave campus. The professors at RCC are all knowledgeable of their subject and the student to teacher ratio is generally low enough that most teachers know who you are. Overall, this is a small town school with low cost and teachers and staff that want to see you succeed.
