Rio Hondo is such a great institution!
From the great lab facilities to the great lunches at the café. Rio Hondo offers great staff and a set of wonderful professors who give you the help you need for success. The transfer center also has played a huge roll in my educational path. They are all friendly and very helpful with all the steps needed to transfer to any university. The difference between Rio and other junior colleges they sacrifice their time and refuse to give up on their students. Their love of success for their students is remarkable. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Rio Hondo Community College for its excellent staff and great help for all students on their journey to success!

I loved the campus! There was a nice variety of classes for most majors and popular ones that were easy to get into and pass. The trails that it has behind it were super pretty when you got to the top. The food was a little better than average. The elective courses/ ones that can be marked as so were a really nice variety, there is something for everyone. The community there are all so nice and most are very supportive and encouraging for transfers! They are very transfer friendly, meaning if that is what you want to do they have a whole office and staff for it that are very proactive in helping with students.
My overall experience with Rio Hondo College (RHC) is very good. My experience is good for three reasons. First, although the size of the campus can be intimidating, the campus is big and spread out in acreage, but the community is small. It's easy to speak with counselors and the finance office. Receiving help from the administration with my class schedule and tuition payment made the transition from high school less stressful. My high school was a close-knit community, and I had some fears of going to college but the support from RHC helped reduce the stress of first year college nerves. Second, the professors are approachable and helpful. The professors are genuinely interested in the successes of students. Third, the ambience and location of the college creates an environment where it is easy to learn. An area to improve is the presence of campus ambassadors the first week of school to help students navigate the campus to lessen the intimidation of the size of the campus.
