Reedley college is a good school; however, there are a few major changes that should occur. The students and teachers are not connected. Many students struggle with materials and rely on the many tutors provided by the school but sometimes how the tutors teach the students are not what the teacher want to see. So there is a slight conflict on how the material is taught. Among the safety guidelines, I have mixed feelings. A student during my first year was harassing me and I reported it but they did not take me seriously. I was turned away because of a lack of evidence. I took things in my own hands and reported the student to the police. Another instance this semester, there was also a student that was not allowed on campus that began to threaten student and threaten to shoot the school. Reedley college failed to alert the campus until two days after the incident. The student was then arrested the following week. The school is good with a few flaws.

Reedley College has a laid back atmosphere with supportive and helpful faculty. The professors are passionate about their subjects and love to see their students succeed; my English professor even got me a job on campus! The school offers plenty of helpful resources, workshops, and tutoring, which are all free. I will recommend Reedley College to anyone looking for a quality community college.
First off, I had taken classes at other schools and had my transcripts sent to the Admin and Records department 2 months BEFORE I started with them. Because the didn't get around to evaluating them I had to retake SEVERAL classes in order to advance through pre-req classes. It ended up taking them OVER a year to get around to it, and by that time my 90 unit time frame was being reached so I had to appeal to receive financial aid. Then after the appeal they realized they over paid me so I had to pay them back $1600, isn't that their job to verify aid I should receive???? Also they discovered that I didn't need to take several classes that I took in order to advance, so they kept my aid for those classes too! If they would have evaluated my transcripts I would be graduated already and wouldn't have had to repeat almost 15 units! What a waste of my time!
