After 12 years of working in the nursing field I have chosen to return to school to expand my knowledge in the health care field or change careers, not exactly sure yet. My admissions advisor, Marcena Reed, was such a great help. She was quick to respond to my questions, helped me through the admissions process, gave me great feed back, and continues to encourage me throughout my first few courses. This personal touch really make you feel connected to the school.
Once you start your courses each student is assigned academic advisor. Jesus Parra is my advisor and I would be lying if said that I thought I would never speak to him. A couple a weeks into my first course, he called me to check up and see how I was doing as well as asking me if I need anything. I was surprised and taken back. I am a "head down and don't make eye-contact" type of student but this type of personal connection made me stop and think that maybe Rasmussen really cares about their students' success.

Great school and a great education. I started my school year this spring of 2022. The advisors are great, they respond to everything quickly. Also, the teachers are very helpful and caring.
I just finished my first quarter at Rasmussen, and my experience has been great. The professors that I had were very reasonable and empathetic. Starting out was rough, because it was something new that I had to get adjusted to and learning to maneuver around. Needless to say, having empathetic & reasonable professors when you are lost and new to the scene is very helpful. The resources available is great. I have not once regretted selecting to obtain my Bachelor's degree through Rasmussen. One thing I would like to see change is the way the CBE courses assignments are graded. In my opinion the assignments should be graded on an averaging level and not having your lowest grade be the determinant of your final grade for the assignment. I have not investigated as to why it is done this way, however I think it is injustice.
