Most of my teachers were very helpful and made it clear that they wanted to help me out in any possible way. Though some of my teachers made it clear to not come to their office hour times because they "don't like visitors". Some classrooms were huge, therefor I didnt really have any one on one time with the teacher

I think it's great that there is no application fee. A lot of schools don't realize that application fees can make students not want to apply to their school. The actual application itself didn't make me want to pull out my hair because it was simple yet thorough.

Davis and Elkins College has proven to be the best choice for me. It has a calm, stress free learning environment, and the professors really challenge me to do my best. It's a challenge for sure, but I'm up for a challenge.

I love school; I enjoy everything that I experience here. I have learned so much about not only my major but about how to live on my own and adapt to changes. Coming to college was a rude awakening for me. A lot of things were going on in my personal life before coming here and during my first semester. However, the staff, friends and great people I have met here have carried me through the struggles and brought me out on top. I work hard every day for my major and future and I am very satisfied that I got the opportunity to do that here.

I go to Marshall University which is a beautiful campus. It is not too big and not too small. It is just far enough away to get away from home but also close enough to drive back when I need to. The campus is very lively and they try to offer many different activities to get students involved. My favorite thing about this campus is that they offer a self defense class for women. It is rape aggression self defense taught by police officers which I think is very important. Since it is very common for women to experience some kind of sexual assault while they are in college I think it is awesome they are trying to make women more prepared and able to defend ones self.

It is a small school, so if that is what you're looking for, then go for it. Everything is in close quarters, but if you don't have a car, its a little difficult to get to downtown, walmart/target/kroger, and off campus dining

Professors are good and there are opportunities of getting on campus internship. the only disadvantage is trying to get internship off campus. University is rather isolated, so it won't be convenient.

The school is a good school, but I would not recommend anybody going there. They are helpful to the athletes, but if you are not an athlete they will do very little to help you without being repeatedly reminded something needs done.

The faculty don't seem to care about the students, and the university only seems to care about how much money it can squeeze out of said students. I have encountered many bad professors who couldn't be fired due to tenure.

Overall, Fairmont State University has been a great school. The classes are great and my program is extremely strong. The only thing that I would like to see changed would be the environment of the school. No one gets involved anymore. I am not certain if I would choose Fairmont State the second time around. Although the school is great, it just isn't what I am looking for.

My favorite element of my school is how small my classes are. I think smaller classrooms have a greater ability to interact with one another and learn more. The fact that my college's professors are capable of being one on one with you and free tutoring is offered, really allows more students to excel. I think those aspects make my college unique. I would, however, enjoy going to a college that offered more majors for pre-veterinary school. I just cant afford tuition at a bigger school or one that is out of my state, that is why I chose to go to Concord University. I would love to go to Virginia Tech.
