    University of Kansas

    • Lawrence, KS
    • 2,873 reviews
College Freshman:Choosing to attend the University of Kansas was a decision that I could not be more pleased that I made. If given the opportunity to choose all over again, I would absolutely still pick KU. The classes, in my experience, have been appropriately challenging while still being fun and enjoyable, and the teachers I've had are so supportive to their students and passionate about what they teach. Any advisers I've met with (undergraduate, major-specific, financial, etc.) were so kind and eager to help, as well as available and quick to respond when I had any questions. Overall, my academic experience here at KU has been top-notch.

Then, of course, there's the non-academic aspects of college. KU offers so many opportunities to students, whether it be clubs and events, or jobs and internships. By the second month of school, I had already found a job on campus. Along with that, there was always something fun to do--cultural nights, drag shows, talks by guest speakers, grocery bingo in the residence halls. There's never been a dull moment!

Maybe I was just blessed with an amazing first semester, but I have good feelings about my future here as well. As finals week rolls around and my first semester is coming to an end, I have nothing but good things to say about this school.

Sophomore:Kansas State is a wonderful university. I highly recommend it. I transferred here after my Freshman year of college and I do not regret it! All of the teachers and staff are highly trained and always willing to do whatever it takes to help you succeed. Also, everybody here is super nice and friendly. The university is located in Manhattan, Kansas. It's the perfect college town. Everything you need is within a 10 minute drive. I personally love the atmosphere of the campus and the town, everybody bleeds K-State purple and it fills you with pride. The academics are astounding and the sporting events are so much fun! Every football game is sold out because the town genuinely loves and supports the University all that much, it makes me proud to call this place home. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else.

Freshman:It's a great school with phenomenal professors & staff that truly want to help you succeed. It's amazingly affordable with tuition & fees, the fees include so much, in one flat rate which is so helpful in today's economy. The campus is truly stunning and has so much to offer along with so many degree programs & student activities/groups to help you get involved at the university! I recommend this to anyone who wants a quality education and an affordable cost!

Freshman:I absolutely love Baker. The smaller college environment isn't for everyone, but it's so nice to have professors who genuinely care about you. Not only that, but the school feels like a big family. It is very easy to get involved as there's multiple clubs and even Greek life. The connections you make here will help so much later on.

    Emporia State University

    • Emporia, KS
    • 635 reviews
College Freshman:My experience with my professors has been a good experience for me because not only is my professor my professor but she is also my academic advisor! I am always welcomed into her office with open arms and with tons of answers to whatever questions I have. My class size is fairly average but nothing is average about the individuals that are in my class. Full of different minds and opinions on topics we discuss everyday is very exciting to watch and hear. The course can be challenging but all my professors will give you some sort of way to get a tutor or time to come an visit their office during their office hours, or get you any help you need to be successful.

    Southwestern College - Kansas

    • Winfield, KS
    • 89 reviews
College Senior:My experience at this school is just amazing! My freshman year I had fell down the stairs outside of a building and I had three people stop to help me out. One offered to run to my dorm to grab what I needed and the others helped me back up the stairs to my class. That night they came to room to check on me and make sure everything was alright and if I needed anything. From that moment Southwestern College in Winfield, KS has become my home--my community. I would recommend this campus to anyone. This year showed me exactly how much they care about our education. I have found myself 5 credits short and they have found some many ways to make it possible for me to graduate. I have to take those 5 credits in the summer this year. This campus is my Builder Family.

    Sterling College - Kansas

    • Sterling, KS
    • 204 reviews
Junior:I really enjoy the atmosphere of the college. Everyone is so kind, helpful, selfless, and loving. The college is the foundation of the community where everyone is willing to come together for prayer, sports, and family gatherings. The professors are willing to give some tutoring hours for students. Tutoring is free and the library has a writing center where writing assignments are peer-edited. Plus, the professors are willing to get to know and understand their students. The college truly cares about the well-being of their students and staff. There are chapel services provided every Wednesday and Sunday, prayer services very on dates, and many spiritual guidance opportunities available. If anyone is looking for a spiritual, quiet, small town, and caring undergrad college, Sterling College is the college for you.

    Benedictine College

    • Atchison, KS
    • 481 reviews
College Junior:I am so happy to be attending Benedictine College! Given that I will be an adult when I graduate college, and I was an adolescent when I entered college, I firmly believe Benedictine College is where I will become the kind of adult I want to be. The formation and traditions at Benedictine really foster a great sense of community on campus.

The curriculum is challenging and even the coaches acknowledge that academics come first. There is also a strong network of alumni who keep in contact with the college so I know I will be able to find a job after I graduate. Employers who currently have Benedictine alumni employed at their company, or attended Benedictine themselves, know the type of person who graduates from Benedictine College. At Benedictine, the focus is not only on forming one's mind but rather the focus is in forming the whole human person.

    Fort Hays State University

    • Hays, KS
    • 704 reviews
College Freshman:The quality of the majority of my courses that I have been/am in enrolled in is overall very satisfying. The courses I had taken last semester were mostly General Education classes which were decently solid. The classes I am taking this semester are a little bit more of General Education classes along with some of my major classes. The professors here are amazing! They are all very nice, and really genuinely care about my education. Not to mention, they know me by name and say hi to me whenever they see me around campus. The variety of courses offered are immense and some I didn't ever think cold exist. The class sizes are what is really cool about this place. There is not so many people in one class that the professor just doesn't know our names. The high school I attended was a 4A D2 high school and the class sizes I had there are very close if not smaller than the ones I have here. It is very relaxing and secure knowing the class sizes aren't extreme.

    Washburn University

    • Topeka, KS
    • 751 reviews
Freshman:Washburn University is an amazing school. The classes are small, at around 30 people per class, and so there's always an opportunity to get to know your professors. The professors are always willing to help with whatever problem you may be having, and will strive to get you the best grade possible. Our sports teams may not be the best, but we have a ton of school spirit. GO BODS! As a dry campus, the party scene also isn't the best, but the fraternities and the sororities often host formals if that's what you're into.

The campus itself is on the smaller side, and so its easy to get to classes from whatever building you're in, and the chances of getting lost are pretty slim. There are students from all over the world attending Washburn, and every one of them are willing to help a fellow Ichabod out in a time of need.

Senior:The staff is great and incredibly helpful. I have yet to have a bad experience with a professor there. They're always friendly, and more than willing to help students with plenty of one-on-one time. The student body is also great with plenty of different clubs and activities, as well as good accommodations to help students succeed. It's a small campus, but it's great!

    Friends University

    • 258 reviews
Freshman:If a person wants to grow in their spiritual path and journey with God while achieving the highest academics imaginable then friends is outstanding! As a student athlete the hours for athletics and academics are very manageable and yield to very well rounded individuals. Friends offers a beautiful campus with the number one dorms in the state of Kansas. The facilities are up to date and are maintained fairly well. This tight knit university encompasses the community, faith, and family all in one small campus. Highly recommended!

College Sophomore:My overall experience at Central has been an eye opening experience. It has opened my eyes to diversity, culture, community, and adaptation. I believe that the most unique thing about our college is the sense of community that we have. Majority of students on campus are athletes so everyone is constantly supporting one another in sports and academics. The staff is also a big part of the community. I think it is extremely unique that the professors not only know us by name but also genuinely care about us. Our President and his wife are constantly around campus and always supporting campus events. How many college students can say that they even KNOW their President of their college, much less have a relationship with them and get invited over to their house for dinner.

Niche User:I went on a college visit to this school. It was an amazing experience, and it made me more and more excited to be a college student soon. They had everything I could ever imagine on this little and home-like campus. From an all you can eat cafeteria, to criminal justice. It was perfect. They also have an AMAZING music program, with wonderful instructors. I have never been to a college and saw so much potential for myself. This school made me thrilled.

College Senior:I have really enjoyed my school because of the Christian atmosphere that it provides. Although it is not perfect, (no college is), I am pleased with my decision because this was where God placed me. I have seen his faithfulness come through in so many ways. I couldn't be more thankful! I know that I will be prepared for my field after I graduate, and that the college experience will be one that I won't forget.

College Junior:I really enjoy this University, I have been to two different other colleges and this is the first college where I feel teachers really want to take care of you. College Junior:All of the teachers and staff are so nice and helpful. Everyone is interested in seeing each student succeed. The college also had plenty of activities and shorts to choose from to keep students active in the college experience. The schools biggest focus is Scholarship. Participation. Service. They want all students to be active in college life and in helping others as well as doing well in Class. Their goal is to create whole persons by the time everyone graduates.

    Bethany College - Kansas

    • Lindsborg, KS
    • 135 reviews
Freshman:Overall my experience at Bethany College has been very exciting. I have met many new people and have developed strong friendships. Playing football has been the best part about Bethany College because of the many memories that were created in the four months. The courses that Bethany requires like Quest and Interdisciplinary are the only complaints I have about Bethany College. These courses seem to be pointless and are only time consuming to the courses that are most important for my major. Other than those two classes my experience has been amazing.

    Haskell Indian Nations University

    • Lawrence, KS
    • 227 reviews
Freshman:Personally, I chose Haskell Indian Nations University as my first school because of athletics. I am a duel sport athlete in both women's volleyball and women's basketball. One thing I love about Haskell is the low tuition for Native American students. Its a great school to start your first year if you are financially unstable. Its also not too big but small enough for a comfortable settle. Another thing I like about it is, they offer a bridge program with the University of Kansas so you can take classes there at a cheaper price than actually going to KU. The students and staff are super friendly and will go beyond measure to make sure you are successful! I would like to see a change in better buildings for classes and more intramural activities for students that play other sports such as soccer instead of just volleyball and basketball all the time!

College Senior:Other than the rules for getting into nursing school it's great, but they let transfer students in before established students if their scores are higher, and I just don't think that's fair.
