    Illinois Wesleyan University

    • Bloomington, IL
    • 553 reviews
Freshman:I love IWU. The campus is stunning year-round, the food is consistently delicious, and my classes are incredible! My professors are very knowledgeable about the topics they teach, and they try to make class fun. Generally, they make themselves readily available to meet with students for any reason. The Ames Library is a great resource too, and the research librarians are more than happy to help you find anything you need for a class, a paper, or just general reading material. It's also easy to get involved on campus: there are RSOs for just about any interest, so it's easy to find people with common interests.

Senior:I love the rich student diversity on campus. I am constantly in awe of the students that I am surrounded by in my classes everyday as they all come from different backgrounds and contribute to the diversity on campus. Loyola's campus is also gorgeous! Taking a stroll around campus during the fall or summer time immediately puts me in a better mood. One thing that disappoints me about LUC, however, is the financial aid office because they are not accessible or helpful to students.

    University of Illinois at Chicago

    • Chicago, IL
    • 2,729 reviews
Freshman:University of Illinois has so far been above what I had expected. The school is full of different people from different cultures, therefore creating better conversations and topics to speak about. The size of the campus, and the classrooms are also very helpful! Some rooms are specialized for one-on-one interactions, whereas others are meant for larger ratios of students to classmates. Regardless, teachers are very helpful and knowledgable when it comes to their specified class. They are always working hard, making sure that students are doing well, and giving out as much help as they can to make sure students leave college successful, not unsuccessful.

Niche User:Bradley university creates a very welcoming environment where anyone can feel safe . it is like a home away from home! There are many academics to offer, also a wide variety of activities. Bradley looks for students who are proud and have the will to learn new things everyday. Bradley is a small size school which means it gives you a great chance to get to know your professors and make you more unique in your environment. Also Bradley has great choices to eat all around and also fun place to chill with your friends.

    Lewis University

    • 772 reviews
Freshman:I love the campus! It's very peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. The students are always welcoming and friendly to everyone. However, the dorm room I'm living in is very small. Also, their art department isn't as great as I had hoped. I am a graphics design major, and I feel like I'm not getting as great of an education as I would if I were a nursing major or an aviation major, which are the school's two well-known majors.

    Northern Illinois University

    • 2,291 reviews
Graduate Student:I appreciated the fact that throughout my master's program, the majority of my professors had experience as top level educational administration, particularly both principals and superintendents. This provided a deeper understanding of the expectations of principals from each perspective. In addition, progressing through the program with a cohort allowed all of us to build solid relationships to assist us in managing the expectations of full time work in addition to graduate level courses and internship training. I am proud to say that I am a graduate of Northern Illinois' Educational Administration program.

    Olivet Nazarene University

    • Bourbonnais, IL
    • 1,221 reviews
Sophomore:Olivet Nazarene University offers something for each student. Between the strong academics and its incredible statement of faith, each student feels a sense of belonging and worth. I chose Olivet as a place for me to grow, not expecting for it to change my life completely. Thanks to the supportive faculty, I can confidently say that I am not the person I was before entering this school. The challenging academics push us as students to reach our highest potential; in addition to the strong education, I feel motivated daily in my walk of faith. It is refreshing to walk this life-altering journey alongside faculty and staff who want us to succeed and lead us in a Christ-centered education. Olivet really is one big happy family! With three more years as a student at Olivet Nazarene University, I am excited about the opportunities God is providing me with through attending this university.

    North Park University

Sophomore:North Park University is a really great campus to get your college education. It is full of the latest technology and is full of diversity. I feel these are what makes this university so unique! The professors are extremely caring and are always willing to help out if needed. It is located in Chicago which is definitely a plus. There are so many things to learn about and explore in this big city. The people are truly amazing and this makes my college experience so rewarding. The opportunities are endless. North Park is located near the home of the Chicago Cubs! It was an awesome feeling to be part of the World Series 2016! I am only a sophomore at North Park, and I hope I am given the opportunity to graduate from here. The tuition is very expensive for me, but I'm trying my best to get really good grades and apply for available scholarships.

    Aurora University

    • Aurora, IL
    • 608 reviews
Freshman:After you GE courses, the classes involving your major have a small ratio of students to Professors. The campus is very nice and although the school has over 4,000 students, it doesn't take very long to know many of your fellow students.
The only downside is the food service program. It is run by Sodexo, a very large food services company. The foods choices are too processed. There needs to be a lot more fresh fruit and vegetable, along with main courses without all the sauces and gravies.

    Saint Xavier University

    • Chicago, IL
    • 802 reviews
Junior:I think Saint Xavier University is a great school! Everyone is very helpful and friendly. The teachers are very knowledgeable in their fields and are always willing to help! There are always so many things going around campus making it quite easy to become involved! I love how the classes are fairly small. One thing I would change about this school would be their selection of evenings courses. I understand that the university is more of a traditional school and has younger students, but with their increasing number of working transfer students, I feel they should take that into consideration and offer more evening courses. Overall, I really enjoy attending SXU!

College Freshman:My overall experience at my college has been great so far. I have been wanting to come to SIUe since my 8th grade year. I had a friends dad that would take us to the campus all the time. It started at orientation, I had a blast with my friends, and the events were amazing. I also got to volunteer at a farm for the very first time, because of SIUe. I had fun doing that and felt very fulfilled. Like i said before, the intramural sports have been fun, and I can't wait to keep doing those year round. I am excited for homecoming week and family weekend in october!

    Trinity Christian College

    • Palos Heights, IL
    • 262 reviews
Sophomore:Trinity has come to be a place that I call home almost instinctively and subconsciously now. Throughout my time at Trinity, the importance of Christ's Lordship over all of creation, in every discipline of learning, has been stressed greatly. This worldview is instilled in every classroom, playing field, and dorm hall at Trinity. Diversity of culture, background, and thought is emphasized and the intentionality that the school has to bring real-life issues to the forefront of discussion is evident. Trinity has not only been a place of personal growth in relationships for me, but also a training ground for what I will encounter in the world later on.

    Millikin University

    • Decatur, IL
    • 544 reviews
Sophomore:The professors are great. They're always willing to assist you and provide countless resources you can use to help you in your classes. Being a student-athlete is made easy. My coach works to keep our team GPA above a 3.2 and offers study tables, and is in constant communication with our professors on what our travel schedule is. The professors are very understanding when it comes to traveling. They will do anything in their power to make sure you don't miss any material. Even the security at Millikin University is fantastic! They provide safe rides, they help keep campus clean, and they are super friendly! All the workers at Millikin are very nice and polite. One thing that I would change about MU is the wireless internet. Our wifi here doesn't have the best connection.

    Western Illinois University

    • Macomb, IL
    • 1,559 reviews
Junior:What I like about Western Illinois is all the campus buildings are all close together. When I was looking at different colleges, for example University of Iowa, I did not like that the campus buildings were not walking distances. With the buildings being so close together I am able to go to the food court, gym, or library and not worry about being late to my next class. Also I recommend trying Dividends in Stipes building. Their coffee and walking tacos are amazing! The professors their are very helpful. They have helped me whenever I come to their office for help, even if it takes an hour or two, and they also provide tutors on campus.

    Quincy University

Junior:I have so far very much enjoyed my time here at QU. The professors I primarily deal with are in the political science, philosophy, and criminal justice departments and they are all so helpful! I only gave 4 out of 5 because I seem to always have trouble with the people working in the registrar and the business office, but everything else is great.

    Rockford University

Junior:It's a great school, small classes and very friendly professors who genuinely want you to succeed. The only reason I took of a star is because of the forums we are forced to attend and the cost of the college itself. It's very expensive, hence the reason I am applying to this scholarship.

    Chicago State University

Senior:I am a current student at Chicago State University. In 2013, I took a break due to some personal issues and I was welcomed back this semester(Jan '17). I have had no issues with reinstatement. My discrepancy is that college tuition and other costs associated with attending college are even higher now than they were before I took my break. Overall, the school has great instructors and really want the students to succeed.
