Purdue University Reviews
My experience at Purdue has been great! At Purdue, students are offered great opportunities to participate in research, student led organizations, and extra curricular activities on throughout the year. Because Purdue is a research university, students and faculty definitely can develop a rapport that fosters a students growth in obtaining certain knowledge and skills. Purdue also offers many great opportunities for students to develop leadership through becoming members of one of the hundreds organizations on campus. Lastly, Purdue students can attend many sports events whether it be for the school's football team or even an intramural team game. Purdue has may eateries and study spots so people can meet up for lunch or dinner then study for upcoming exams. Together, Purdue is a great school for people to cultivate connections and develop necessary leadership skills for their careers and in life.
I love Purdue University because you truly get the authentic "university experience" you hear others talk about. The academia at Purdue is reason enough to attend the University, but the beautiful campus, AMAZING basketball team, and wonderful Purdue Pete mascot are additional bonuses! Safety is an important criterium when looking at colleges, especially for parents who are leaving their children there. When living on campus I did not feel unsafe once throughout my whole year. There are plenty of resources regarding safety, including a "safe walk" program, and safety alarms around campus. Purdue has gone above and beyond with campus living and making each and every student feel safe!
Purdue is well known for their math and science curriculum and the material is rigorous. However, it is worth it because all of the faculty and staff care about you and your success. For such a large university, you would think it would be hard to find a helping hand, but not at Purdue. They provide the utmost amount of support and guidance, and it makes you feel like an important individual in a vast sea of more than 40,000 students. The layout of the campus was ingeniously designed, considering Purdue is an engineering powerhouse, this is a reassuring fact. Lastly, the diversity at Purdue makes it easy to build your network, which becomes wildly relevant post-graduation when searching for a start to your career. Overall, an outstanding university. Boiler Up!
