I completed both the Vet Assistant certification course followed by the Vet Tech associates degree program.
I didn't have to sign up for individual classes or worry about fitting their class schedules into mine. The fact that it was expedited to shorter terms was preferable, but that also made it very challenging.
The information and skills training was good- especially with small class sizes.
If you have the motivation and are willing to put in the effort, you will get what you need from this school. The instructors are supportive and are willing to support their students if you are also putting in the work.
The drawback is that it is expensive, but I do feel like I got back what I paid into it. The amount of experience and connections that I've gained in this field is difficult to put an actual price on.
The review provided was comprehensive and enabled me to pass my VTNE at my first attempt. I also work in the field and had a great extern experience.

I went school in Colorado at Pima Medical Institute in 2006 for a MAA certificate. I loved the school I attended and really enjoyed all Professors the learning experience. After, I took time off to raise children and have since moved to California. I have tired serval attempts to connect the Pima campuses here, with no return call. I decided to enroll at community college next to my house instead of trying to contact them again.
Honestly, you get what you put into this. I completed the veterinary assistant program and learned a lot. The instructor was very helpful and willing to answer questions and the other program personnel are extremely helpful and willing to help with career assistance.
