I think the Physical Therapist Assistant program is great! I am been looking forward to pursuing a profession that I am passionate about. It is nice to also be surrounded by people that are just as passionate as you are. Being able to actually work with certain machines and equipment that we would see out in the field is very helpful and exciting and you can experience it before being put into your clinicals. There are some older machines that we have to work with, but that is just because of the expenses and having to have so many for the class.
I dont start classes until November, but I cant wait! Right away I was blown away buy the help I received and how comfortable I felt there. I cant wait to get my scrubs, books, and to start classes!
I give PMI an A- because it was really simple to apply for as long as you followed all the directions and did well on the testing. You definitely have to put in your own time. I like that the school is year around and an accelerated program. Howeve, there is sometimes alot of information thrown at your in the 4 hours you are in the classroom. I really enjoy the professors for the most part, and they really are there to help you succeed in the program. Like I had mentioned before, you are only in class for 4 hours 4 days a week so your workload outside of class is about double that or more. So be prepared to have good time management skills.
