Pierce College is a very relaxed and fun community college. The environment is nice and people are friendly. Professors there are adequate, but I've had a few who are AMAZING! The campus is very nice and there are many people you can become friends with, study with, etc. The counselors are amazing, friendly, and will help you with anything you need! Overall, the experience is what you make of it. A good attitude and good effort will go a long way, so stay positive! Make an effort to get to know people. They are all so friendly! Most of the courses are quite easy, as well. I never have loads of homework.
I love how convenient Pierce is. They have a variety of courses and different ways to take the courses, such as online, classroom, and a hybrid of the two. They also accept anyone, so anyone can continue their education at Pierce. Since it's a community college, it's on the cheaper side, which is also nice, and they still have financial aid options if you need it. The advisors are helpful in guiding you to the right places. The one thing I would have changed about my experience is to get involved more with the school! They have many different extra curricular activities that I missed out on.
I enjoy my short two years at Pierce so far. The staff is amazing, and Student Life is top-notch with events with great speakers and field trips to amazing places around Washington! I absolutely love how everything structured, except for parking for folks who drive! Classes are average size. And like any other community colleges, there are some 'gem' professors from bigger schools who switch over to smaller-size classrooms and yes they do care for students. Of course there will be some who are more difficult to reach out to, but so far so good!
