I've visited Pickens Technical College all of around three times. The first night was very efficient and flowing seeing as how it was registration night and my sister was starting hr first years as a cosmetologist. The second time I went was in order to help my sister verify her classes after what I think was an unknown mishap with the system. The third time I went as a favor to my sister to practice he trade on. The teachers let the student be very self-guided and easy paced. There was no strict authority nor supervision as to what the student had going on which I thought odd. Overall, the environment felt different each time. Whether it was a good different or a bad different is still on the fence with me. Maybe it depends on your reason for visiting the campus because I wasn't overly impressed, but I wasn't disappointed either.

I have recently decided to go to Pickens Tech college and the people there are nice and understanding and work with you! I signed up for the Automotive Mechanics program to get my Associates degree with hands-on learning. I am very excited to be attending this school in just a few short months and if you want hands-on learning this is the school for you.
Pickens Technical College has great teachers that genuinely care about their students. They also have great staff that are always there and willing to help students succeed in life. What I like about this school is that you automatically have a job placement because the majority of jobs hire students from this college.
