I think Peralta schools are like many community colleges. There are good teachers and bad teachers. It took me a while to find people help me get the help that I needed.
There are classes offered at many times on many days as well as online. I never had trouble working my school schedule around my work schedule.
The only interaction with online courses that I had while at Peralta Community Colleges was as a tool for communication with the teachers of my ASL classes. It was a traditional class with online assignment viewing and announcements.

I've attended several schools and I've enjoyed Peralta Community Colleges the most for the diversity they offer and the quality of education they provide.
Every bulletin board is littered with job opportunities and career counseling resources. The welding classes I took were full of certification information as well as job experience availability.
Through Berkeley City College, I discovered my love for American Sign Language and my desire to become an ASL/English Interpreter. The ASL staff is so helpful and supportive and generous, it is a completely immersive major and I never thought I'd learn so much so quickly.
Peralta Community Colleges have such a wide array of classes offered and resources that I felt flush with options. There are incredible teachers and fun classes and several locations to study at. I have taken classes at Berkeley City College and Laney College and both are excellent.
