I love the friendly environment on campus and exciting downtown area. It is an eventful campus with many opportunities for success and expansion of ones self. No matter what career path you are on, Penn State offers many extraciricular programs that have meaningful networking purposes and ideal work experience in a multitude of ways. There are plenty jobs available on/off campus, but experience could come in many fashions. There are internships, study abroad options, research projects and many more ways to be involved in this school! We also have largest alumni network of all universities so that assists in these options. I have taken part in these as I am a research assistant through my Biobehavioral health department and also plan to travel abroad this summer. Penn State not only makes your college experience fun and exciting, but prepares you for life after this magical time.

I'm so happy to be a student at Penn State. The spirit here is unmatched, and I've never seen a student body more proud of their school. I'm a freshman, and so far all of my experiences here have been affected by the pandemic. However, I have still managed to make friends, build connections with my teachers, and make memories on campus. I could not imagine myself anywhere else! I would give it 5 stars but my experience in quarantine was very unpleasant since I didn't feel cared for by the school, but I didn't expect much more since it is such a large school and I was one of hundreds in quarantine.
Penn State was very welcoming for an out of state student. The campus is easy to navigate and you are able to find your classes with minimal problems. You can tell your professors care about what they’re doing and are willing to work to help you succeed in the course you’re taking. They do many different nights at the dining halls for international students to have a taste of their home at school. Housing, depending on where you stay, has no issue but be aware of the people in your hall who may like to make noise in the middle of the night. There are ways to get notified of incidents that happen on campus but unfortunately, they happen more frequently than you’d like. Downtown is a strip of stores that cater to all of your Penn State needs including books, apparel, and of course, great food!
