Penn State Worthington Scranton Reviews
Review Penn State Worthington Scranton
My time at Penn State Worthington Scranton is currently great. I've been learning a lot of things and it's been already a great help in my life. As a pre-business major, I have been working hard to maintain my grade to transition to UPark and my professors has been a huge help. The learning center is always supplied with tutors and helpful advice to motivate myself to keep striving for my long term goal. I would recommend this campus to anyone who is going for nursing or engineering and likes a small class setting with amazing people.
Worthington is a small commuter campus, so it's definitely different from universities that are primarily residential. You need to be aware of this when making your decision so you don't have unrealistic expectations. Students attend their classes and then go home, making it more like high school in that aspect. During the day you'll find students hanging out in the cafeteria or library, but other than that there really aren't a ton of places to hang out. However, I have found the staff on campus to be helpful and easily accessible. As with any school, you have some professors you like and some you don't. If you are looking for a school in your area to commute to, I would definitely recommend Worthington because you get the benefit of a well-known university with a cheaper price tag, at least to start out. You always have the option of transferring to a different PSU campus after 2 years, which is what most students do. If you are looking for the typical college experience with dorms and on-campus partying, this school is not for you.
Penn state athletics are great! Mostly everyone is very engaged. Everyone has good school spirit, fan support, and all the students have a good time.
