Worthington is a small commuter campus, so it's definitely different from universities that are primarily residential. You need to be aware of this when making your decision so you don't have unrealistic expectations. Students attend their classes and then go home, making it more like high school in that aspect. During the day you'll find students hanging out in the cafeteria or library, but other than that there really aren't a ton of places to hang out. However, I have found the staff on campus to be helpful and easily accessible. As with any school, you have some professors you like and some you don't. If you are looking for a school in your area to commute to, I would definitely recommend Worthington because you get the benefit of a well-known university with a cheaper price tag, at least to start out. You always have the option of transferring to a different PSU campus after 2 years, which is what most students do. If you are looking for the typical college experience with dorms and on-campus partying, this school is not for you.
