My overall experience at PHCC was fantastic! Honestly, most of the credit for my pleasant experience should be given to the instructors. I found they went above and beyond to help me as well as other students with any situation. They always made class time thoroughly enjoyable as well by filling it with energy and a sincere love of teaching. My classmates were also a huge part in my college career and we were all extremely supportive of each other. It was just really great to be in that kind of environment. I never felt any part of the education I received was lacking or lackluster. All of my skill assets for my career goal were greatly improved thanks to the instruction I had received. My instructors had also assisted me with the furtherance of my future educational goals with frequent one on one time and planning. I truly felt closer to my dream of becoming a Graphic Designer and I hope North Iowa Community College is just as amazing.
Apply for the scholarships there! Chances are you will get something because they do well at distributing scholarship money. Otherwise the financial aid there is pretty useless as they do not participate in government loans.

Academics was on par with what other community colleges offered but the real gem about this school was the location. The surrounding area is growing and changing rapidly as an effort to stop the economic decline. That being said, the cost of living is some of the lowest you will find and the people of the area are generally friendly. For someone in a transitional time of their life (i.e. college student), there are plenty of job opportunities for those with minimal skills.
