I really like the organization and the way of education that they give to the students. I feel welcome in my school and it offers many opportunities.
It has been a complex change; however, I have been able to adapt easily because, at the beginning of this change, I had very good teachers who tried as hard as I did to adapt.
Overall Palomar College is really welcoming and the staff try in any way possible to make your first two year experience comfortable and accommodate you in any way to pass and get the degree.
I've taken majority of all my college classes online so far all I can say from a personal experience is it has been a challenge, but also very convenient while I'm working full time too which I'm juggling as well. At time I feel as if professors don't care as much because they don't have to worry about anything through the screen or care if any information is being retained. The communication can be poor at times, but I have met and came across a few that will do anything in their power to get you to succeed it's just the effort and time you're putting in to accomplish things.
So far all the professors I’ve had have been very helpful. They themselves are also learning how to use updated equipment.
My experience with Palomar College online has been a breeze. They use online based resources to help you learn online like a course management system that supports online learning and teaching. It keeps everything very organized and gives you a calendar, dude dates, files merged in different subtopics to keep things in order, and document uploads, with tests and quizzes online; all in the same place! It is also very easy to have communication with your professors because there is a-built in 'inbox' to message your professor or fellow classmates who are in the same class as you. It is there for when you need help or when they need to reach out to you.
Palomar College has an amazing Photography AA program that is helping me chase my dreams in being a photographer. The professors in the photography major range are well rounded with tons of experience. They gladly lend a hand when you ask for help and have questions! You grow your connections and it is very hands on, which is an absolute must! They teach the backbone of the major and help you grow to being advanced with knowledge. You are able to freely grow and express your self with your own creativity and the professors are there to give you the resources and help to do so. Palomar college has opened up my eyes to seeing how my dreams can become a reality and have a career that many people have said was not possible. Palomar college and the professors helped me see that it is possible with their personal life experiences as a photographer. Palomar college has helped spark that dream and is helping me make it become a reality.
My first year of college being online was not really what I envisioned college being. Other than that, my professors have been helpful in providing online tools to help us out. It is difficult though trying to set appointments for office hours for individual help.
My experience at Palomar hasn't been too bad, considering all of my courses are online. Other than some misunderstandings with one professor, I have had mostly positive interactions with the professors at the school. I think one thing that can change is having some sort of office hours in person rather than online
It been a little stressful fo r me and my anxtiey and my problem of me scared to talk to teacher I had a a experience that let me be scared but I had teacher who where very flexible.
Good. I chose to participate in community college classes at the beginning of the pandemic for dual enrollment. Best choice ever!
Took 2 classes through Dual enrollment. Amazing teachers! I highly recommend English 100 with Glenda Snell
I took my third Spanish class online and it was fine. I would not recommend taking science classes online since it is a bit more challenging.
This college is a great way to kickstart your career. The campus is in a beautiful location and is very easy to navigate.
My online experience has been nothing short of exceptional. My professors are doing their best and it’s turning out amazing. I prefer this format!
I loved the hands-on professors and options at Palomar College. There were many great resources for students.
I took classes online and still felt involved with my professors and students. The professors make it important to interact with other students as well as have opportunities for help and tutoring.
