I have loved Ozark and I still continue to go there. Ozark is a home to me and although there are downsides there are a lot of positives. If you go to Ozark you will find amazing professors who genuinely care about you like no other and people who love you. Although some of the downsides are that you cannot live off campus until you are in your 20s, married, or live with a guardian and with being kicked out during all breaks if you want to work in Joplin full time that can be difficult. Another downside is if you are an international student paying your way through and your visa only allows you to work at the school the school pays minimum wage and you can only work up to 20 hours a week scheduled. Other than the few downsides I do absolutely love Ozark and would recommend it to most!
A very theologically based college; teaches from a more conservative viewpoint, and leans towards a slightly more literal interpretation of the Bible.
Every degree program is mostly Bible and theology classes, with a major focus on preaching. You will learn, in every degree program, what only pastors usually know. That being said, getting a BA here is nearly the equivalent of an MA anywhere else. Most of your work is reading and writing, and you will be asked to dive into some deep theological topics. Because of this depth, never take more than 15 credit hours a semester unless you’re a workaholic with no job. It’s nearly impossible to work more than 20hr/wk here.
The only reason i’m giving it a 4/5 is because of the price. At $1300/class and now $3000+ for the smallest meal and housing plan, this education does not come cheap. Make sure you have—and KEEP—a good scholarship, and I hope you can get some good FAFSA money, you will need it if you’re unprepared to take out loans.

Ozark is an amazing place. The first day I toured the campus everyone I met felt like family. Ozark has amazing financial aid, engaging classes, and each of the professors want to personally assist you in pursuing God's calling in your life. Not to mention one of the counselors at Ozark has mentored me and understands what I have gone through.
