I started at Olympic College when I was 18 and told the class planning advisor that I wanted to transfer into a university for a bachelors in computer science with my core classes done. He put me in a computer information systems program which are similar, but it doesn't cover the coding I'd use in a job and none of the CIS classes transfer to any university which set me back a bit.
The other students are chill, they hold fun events sometimes, and the gym is included free for students. It's close to downtown Bremerton and it's ferry to Port Orchard and Seattle, with Silverdale and it's malls a short drive north. It has campuses in Shelton and Poulsbo with Bremerton being the main campus.
Don't trust advisors, don't buy books from the store, and don't miss deadlines and you'll be fine.

There are a lot of fantastic professors at olympic college, especially Math, Biology, and Chemistry professors. Be careful who you choose, and use rate my professor a lot, but if you sign up for classes early enough you can get into anyone's class.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Everyone dreads the 8 am daily classes right? Nope, not at Olympic College did I dread those classes, but fear not only in September. Why? Because the walk to class from your car, when the air is crisp, the sun had just risen so the warmth hitting your faces wakes you up a little more, the smell of fresh-brewed coffee in the hallways. Why would anyone despise those classes when THIS is what you get to experience at Olympic College. Then once you arrive to your 25 student class, and get to hear the daily joke from your math professor, what could get better? I quite honestly have no negative things to say about Olympic College!
