Stillwater has a beautiful campus and a family like feel. Dorms are adequate but I think there needs to be better training for the CMs. The one I dealt with was nice enough but didn't seem to have to knowledge to deal with much of anything. There is also a lot of off campus housing that still seems like you are on campus, which is an excellent option for students with pets! There are a lot of activities and clubs to join, ranging from sports, to music and entertainment. Something that would be beneficial would be to have better access to tutors that have specified areas of expertise. Also on campus work is available for about any type of work you can think of. The professors are mostly helpful, although there are a few that are not very accessible to students for help with class work. Would like to see better on campus food options. Also, I feel like the required meal plans need to be adjusted to reflect the lack of food options for students, especially later in the day.
There truly is a place for everyone! The community outreach is incredible, and with over 100 organizations, incoming students should have no problem finding their fit. I'm personally a huge fan of the library and all the resources it contains.
My only real downside is that sometimes getting your technical questions answered (especially about money) can be a bit difficult. There are, however, people in your corner that can and will help you, if you just ask.

OSU is a great school if you get involved and choose to be plugged in. The school has so many opportunities for growth and community, you just have to show up! I loved all of the classes that I took and the community I was involved in. There is something for everyone - with over 500 student organizations, many sports to attend, small town feel and more; it is easy for Stillwater to feel like home. I loved my time at OSU and miss being around the great community. Working towards meeting students where they are at resource wise would be something that I could see benefiting greatly from change.
