Ohio State University - Marion Reviews
I initially chose the Marion campus because of the significant decrease in the cost of tuition, but after classes started I recognized the appeal. The campus is relatively small, compared to the Main campus in Columbus, which makes it easy to navigate and move from building to building. This is expecially nice when facing severe Ohio weather during the winter months. The housing for the school is located across the street. The buildings are new and the furnishings and appliances inside are modern and clean. The campus doesnt have an abundance of athletic programs, they have a soccer club and gaming tables (ping pong and pool). There is an on site police officer at all times. The campus is well lit, and the parking lots are close to the buildings. As for the academic aspect of the school, it is very good. The majority of the teachers are genuinely interested in helping. Overall, I would recommend attending, it is a wonderful school, with great academics, and great people.
During my first year at OSU in Marion, I was very nervous. I was fresh out of high school, I did not know many people, and I was quite oblivious to what college life awaits me. The staff and my peer leaders were very helpful with making me feel more comfortable being a new college student. The scenery was lovely, there were many resources I can use if I needed help with homework or studying, and I have met many friendly people. My classes now are very difficult but I work and communicate with my fellow students and my professors often whenever I need assistance. I plan to finish my bachelor's degree in biology at OSU in Marion, and I am confident I will be able to accomplish that.
While attending the Ohio State University at Marion I noticed how close professors and students got. It was a nice one-on-one relationship that I believe a student could not get at most colleges. The walk to classes were quite quick and easy!
