The academic side of things is not an easy workload, there are many tests, procedures, and practices that are given daily. The programs include any and everything dealing with preventative measures to protect an individual working in a health care field. Also, there are many procedures, such as practicing chair side assisting and demonstrating you know the knowledge and basis of the materials found in the dental office. There is also a lot of information on how to do a variety of procedures such as root canals, fillings, extractions, bone cutting, braces and orthodontic assisting and many more helpful measures.

It is truly a great experience to be majoring as a dental assistant at my current college. The workload that is expected is not in short supply but is truly very informative on what any person gaining a healthcare degree would require. The curriculum required mainly deals with preventive measures, sciences, practices, and basic training on what a person would endure when entering the dental field. There are very many job opportunities that are out there, some include dental assisting, clerical work, dental lab opportunities, and hygiene coordinators as well.
The post grad services are in a high degree where a financial staff remains to sort through all loans and payments will be made and where and who the student will be paying. They set up an account one on one where you can discuss any financial information that can be logged in after graduation. Also, the current staff helps give students the proper resources to study for their state board testing and they also offer a two day review on all information from the school year previously learned and go over any questions that the student is uncertain of. The job prospects are actually greatly influenced before graduation, where the staff lets the students get involved in an 110 hour volunteering opportunity where the students may apply later as well.
