I am extremely disappointed in the "Business Professions Department" of Odessa College. Assignments remained ungraded for over thirty days. When questioned, the instructor put a grade on six assignments within an hour, offered no engagement or feedback on the course subject and responded to my concerns about his grading practices with a generalized mumbo jumbo that offered no explanation and was clearly intended to confuse and/ or distract. The instructor from last term was even worse. I told myself last term that I would give OC one more chance. While this terms instructor was certainly more engaged and willing to assist than the previous instructor, it is simply not acceptable that assignments go ungraded for over thirty days in an 8-week term. I will not be returning to OC any time soon. I am deeply committed to supporting my local community. However, Odessa College just lost my support. I will take my money and my expectations and go elsewhere for my continued education.

A very affordable college option, particularly for students wanting to build their college portfolio before transferring to a larger university, or for individuals wanting to boost their careers with vocational training and certifications. The school goes above and beyond to offer opportunities for people who want them, with easy payment options, online and hybrid classes, and even weekend school for those who work during the week. The academics are challenging, yet professors are understanding and encouraging. For such a small school, Odessa College offers a lot to the community.
