Oakland University is booming, tons of new students each year, diversity growing, and the campus itself! Great opportunities exist at OU, but I would love to see some more great professors who make the learning journey easier and enjoyable. Although great professors already exist, I have had personal experience along with my friends where struggling through a semester is what we deal with; sometimes even retaking a class! There are tons of opportunities to be involved in this great community, which is alway exciting. I have met great professors, staffs, and friends. I enjoy being a student at OU but minor changes in professors should do the trick!

I recently visited Oakland University and I really liked it a lot! The campus was beautiful and was very easy to get around. They have a lot of amenities for students all over the campus, especially freshman including gyms game rooms, hang out rooms and many events. They have staff and faculty to help you in any way you need whether it is homework, term exams, or you just need someone to talk to. I also really liked the housing. They normally put all of the freshman in one hall together so you can become close with people and make friends that will last you throughout your college experience. Over all, I thought Oakland University was a place that I could see myself potentially going to next fall!
I started college when I was only sixteen years old and was not used to the harsh winter weather of Michigan. Oakland's dorms were the first thing I appreciated. They were well insulated and I found myself so comfortable. Once I'd adjusted to drastic climate change, I really loved the Oakland Center and the grand piano with the fireplace and comfy sofas! I would go every morning and sit back with a coffee and soak in the atmosphere before I went to my eight am classes. The supplemental instruction was so well planned out and I had understanding teachers who would go out of their way to ensure I had a firm grasp on all the content. On my darkest days I always had access the the free counselling sessions or I could turn to a teacher who would always make sure I'm okay. I love this school and receiving any scholarship to continue my education would be amazing!
