I love attending Northwood! Although a small campus might be a bit off-putting to some, the 10-minute maximum walk across campus is pretty nice. Northwood is small enough to feel like family, but large enough to where you could meet someone new every day. The campus in Midland is absolutely beautiful in the fall and winter months. Being in the middle of the woods, once all of the trees change colors the campus truly is something special, and it looks like a winter wonderland once snow falls. Northwood has a new president this year, and he has already made some great changes. Food options on campus are somewhat limited because of the small campus size, but are great nonetheless. Overall, Northwood is a great place to further your education if you are okay with living on a small scale.

I am an Alumni of Northwood University and after being out of school for awhile, I look back and realize how great my education and time was there. I have realized that the real world skills that I learned at Northwood have translated into real life. I utilize what I learned in business and finances every day and I'm not sure I would have got that elsewhere. I talk to a lot my friends about things I learned in school and they did not receive some of the same skill sets. I loved the stronger focus on my major from day one. If you are interested in business, Northwood is the place to go. The teachers were former business owners, accountants, etc. so they had real world experiences they could share and not just educators their whole live.

Its a smaller school which I prefer and the classes were not in auditoriums as I have heard from friends who went to bigger schools. You got to know your professors and they got to know you. Overall, i highly recommend Northwood!
Northwood University has been everything I have hoped for and more. I have been involved with athletics, RSOs, Greek Life, and have gotten multiple internships throughout my time at NU. The professors really care and are easily accessible. They all have real life experience in what they are teaching, which always keeps the classes interesting. Midland is a nice, quaint, safe place to live. If you choose to go to Northwood, get involved because it will pay off in the end. It is a great networking school as well!
