Northwood University is a private, not-for-profit business school. My time here has served me well as I have learned from a multitude of things from not only school, but life itself. I chose this school because of one man by the name of Dr. Preston James IV, former head of the Entertainment, Sports, and Promotions Management program. His view on how the class should be talk was like none other, basically putting aside the textbook and bringing on real experience for us colleagues to obtain knowledge. I envied that. However, it was a sad day for us students when he told us he was transferring to another university down south. Student life is a bit different since our size is relatively small. Sporting events are never sell out crowds or hype games. Student life has many opportunities for students to join clubs and I have been able to do so as well. Things could be better, but I've enjoyed my time here.
Review Northwood University - Midland
I like all the connections and opportunities that they provide me. This makes my experience great also they make sure that you are involved as much as you want to be! They push you to be the best. Sadly sometimes the environment is not the best but it is what you make it!
As a pure business school, the degrees offered by this college is some of the best in the country and certainly the best in Michigan. There are some that are less known and renown, however most are within the bounds of a good college degree. The internships and practicums offered, as well as the amount of effort put in by the career center all but gaurentees you to have both interships and practicums during the duration of your schooling, but also they allow you to use their career center after graduation to no expiration date.
