Northwestern State University is a great school. From the academics to the campus life. The people are so helpful and kind. The dean likes to get to know you and work with you on a personal level. The professors are like your friends, they are very understanding when it comes to making changes. The school is very diverse , you have many different cultures to get acquainted with. The rooms are the best! You have your own privacy and it's best to get a room at random with a stranger. You make plenty of friends in class or surrounding areas such as the café, parties, meetings , outings on campus or maybe in the grocery store. The games are full of excitement and the crowd is always live ! Everything about the campus is beautiful. The safety is never a problem, the police ride around 24/7 the campus. The city is small but it is the perfect size for college. But if you are considering coming to Northwestern, it's the perfect school for you.
Review Northwestern State University of Louisiana
Northwestern State is a very friendly college, the professors here are very hands on. The professors are very understanding and always are there for help. The campus life is very live, the students are very connected and are always willing to help each other out. Students understand the struggle of transitioning to college, and generally are very helpful. The campus is gorgeous!
Small school in a small town. Very little communication between departments, administration, and students. Plenty of student activities and social events. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful, however students are treated like numbers by the majority of administration. Course information is muddled and misinformed, usually given last minute. Students are often used as test subjects for new learning/teaching practices with little choice or opportunity for feedback. Ineffective teachers are kept on payroll despite student failings. Classes are interactive and information is generally interesting.
