I am currently attending Northwest Missouri State University and I enjoy being here. The faculty and staff are all very nice, the professors are helpful and very knowledgeable in their fields, and the students are helpful and fun to be around. The classes are challenging but I enjoy going to them, my animal sciences classes the most. The food could be improved, but it is easy to make smart eating choices while in the cafeteria. I love the library. It is very roomy and has a Starbucks coffee shop in the heart of it which makes everything better! Overall, I do enjoy attending NWMSU and would recommend anyone to come to school here in Maryville.
Review Northwest Missouri State University
Northwest Missouri State University is so diverse: Greek Life, sports, have a club that will fit your interest. They have recycling places all over campus so it is definitely an Earth friendly campus. They have different religion clubs where you can express your faith. They offer 126 undergraduate majors, 73 minors, 18 pre-professional programs, 40 graduate programs, and five graduate certificate programs. Laptops and textbooks are included in tuition at Northwest, ensuring all students have access to the tools they need to be successful in the classroom. 97% of undergraduates and 99% of graduates find employment or continue their education within six months of graduation. They want you to succeed and have a great college experience. They are among the most affordable public universities in the state of Missouri. The only thing they could work on is having more languages for students to major/minor in. All we have currently is English or Spanish.
I am currently a freshman at Northwest and have loved it so far. I am involved in Sigma Society, a women's service organization with a strong emphasis on sisterhood. It is similar to a sorority but we aren't affiliated with Greek life. We still participate in Homecoming and other activities that greeks do we just aren't nationally recognized so our dues are a lot cheaper. I am also involved in Dance Company and had so much fun it so far. One thing I've noticed in my time here so far is that as long as you get involved you tend to have a really great experience here. We have over 150 student organizations here so there really is something for everyone, and if you don't find and organization that you like you can even start your own!
