Northwest Mississippi Community College Reviews
I have had a good overall experience with Northwest Community College thus far. I would recommend it as a community college for anyone graduating high school in the area, whether they know their intended major or not. It's affordable, has a nice campus, great student life, and has quite a few outstanding professors. Though there is much diversity on campus, it is quick and easy to feel at home in this school. Furthermore, the workload is definitely manageable; it's almost a necessary step before going off to a University. If anyone has been struggling with picking a college to start off their post-high school life, this is the one I would recommend.
I love Northwest, I have made many good friends there and I continue to make more. The academics are good with the exception of a few professors. There are only two things that I dislike about Northwest, and those are as follows: professors are given almost no limits as to their grading, and the number of rules on campus. An example of the professors having almost no limits would be my psychology professor, she failed my final paper in her class because she did not like what I wrote about even though she stated that it was up to the students to pick our own topics. And when it comes to the rules on campus, I understand that there have to be some rules, but one that stands out is that if you have a certain number of absences, you will be withdrawn from the class. I believe, along with many others, that absences should not determine if you stay in the class or not.
I have loved my experience at Northwest Mississippi Community College thus far! The campus is great, the dorms are great, but most of all, the professors are excellent.
