Northern Virginia Community College Online Reviews

I take classes through my high school for Northern Virginia Community College and I absolutely love this program! The rigor of the courses allows me and my classmates to challenge each other with the curriculum and strive to be the best version of ourselves in the classroom. I do wish there were more projects and writing assignments in the classroom but, this lack might be unique to my school and the appointed Dual Enrollment teachers. All-in-all, the Dual Enrollment program is a great way to get ahead on your university credits and the rigorous classes are amazing tools that help to prepare you for the level of curriculum difficulty we will face in our future endeavors.
I enjoyed my time at Northern Virginia Community College. The professors and people I met helped me immensely in doing well in school even during the pandemic! The one area I would like to see improvement in is the Mathematics department. Many math professors had low reviews amongst the students which made it difficult to choose which class to sign up for.
I went to this school to get an education and I got it. Some of the teachers are really kind and dedicated. Many practice professions that you might be interested in. For example, my psychology professor was a school psychologist which was a career I was interested in.
Other teachers were very average or did the bare minimum. In most online classes you can e-mail questions but you essentially self teach the course. If you think being self taught is a good idea than go for it. However, as many clubs as NOVA Online has it can be sorta difficult to get involved. Making friends via online classes are unlikely unless you REALLy put in extra effort. If you want a no fuss degree on your schedule Nova Online is for you.
