As a non- traditional first time college student NTCC has been very understanding and informative! The advisor, Bree, who helped me was fantastic. She was very patient and answered all of my questions. Student services was very friendly. The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. The campus was beautiful and easily located.

The student services building is as unorganized as they come. You could be the only student waiting to talk to an advisor, and have to wait 30+ minutes before being seen. there is often only one or two advisors at their desk while the rest are wondering around talking to each other. They will misplace documents, fail to inform you on account issues, and fail to make sure you properly succeed. I have not once even received an email from the academic advisor selected for me. Also if you are a student with financial aid trying to strictly focus on school and not wanting to work, this school is not for you. You will not receive any financial assistance until basically the last few weeks of the semester. I’ve done four semesters here and was forced to get a job because the refund that is meant to go out to, “help students with all other college expenses” like toilet paper cleaning supplies etc. won’t be sent out until the last few weeks of every semester when you don’t need them.
Northeast Texas Community College has been an amazing place to start my education. The proffesors and the scheduled class times are perfect for just about anyone. Not only do the proffesors try to work with the student's schedule but the interaction they have with students is great. All the proffesors make time to help the college students; I am glad I've had helpful proffesors at all times.

Are you thinking about transffering? Northeast Texas Community College is also linked with Texas A&M in Texarkana, Texas. Since Northeast Texas Community College makes it easy to transfer to another great local college then the college students have more opportuities to expand which career path and degree plan they want to use.

Attending Northeast Texas has been a great college to attend. It has fun clubs, helpful proffesors, and many choices on classes. I reccomend this college because I have fully experienced an unelievable time, and I want other colleagues to do the same.
