I am just starting at NIACC but so far my experiences have been positive. The dorms are beautiful & newer, the class sizes are smaller than traditional universities, the campus feels like a private college atmosphere at a community college location. Cost is incredibly lower than other area colleges & universities. The staff and other students are very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and helpful. They genuinely take an interest in their students and their successes. So far, so good!

Hello everyone! I am currently a freshman at NIACC, and I couldn’t be happier I chose to come here first. While looking into community colleges close to home, one of the main factors I was worried about, was the financial portion. However, NIACC is very affordable for first time college students.

Yes, college sounds terrifying in the beginning, but the staff here is amazing and very helpful! As for me, I am a Student Ambassador, and enjoy showing what NIACC has to offer while giving tours. Never be afraid to show what you’re capable of, you never know who’s watching! Take advantage of community colleges, and see what they have to offer before a university!
The North Iowa Area Community College is a great college to start off your college career! It's affordable and their graduation rate is high! All of the professors are willing to work with you one on one and help you pass. Considering it is a community college, all the activities that go on, and the dorm life, you will feel like you are at a mini univeristy! It is super safe here, and if you live in the dorms, you can go to the staff for help at any time!
