I am a huge fan of the low tuition, free gym membership and perks for full-time students, and the ease of which there is to navigate through my school experience. I also love that I am able to take online courses as I'm a stay-at-home mother and am wanting to pursue a career while raising my daughter. I feel safe with security always present and the emergency phones posted throughout campus. Coeur D'Alene is GORGEOUS and there are plenty of healthy recreational things to do in the area. The fact that CDA Lake is right next to the school is awesome!

When I enrolled in North Idaho College I was hesitant about whether I would enjoy it. Two years later I am thrilled to say that I have! I am a music major, and the music faculty are all very talented and friendly. Each of them has been a friend to me, and encouraged me to challenge myself and to transfer when I graduate. I have also found that most of the other professors are very helpful. I did find that online classes entailed much more work as a general rule, although INTR 250C, Integrative Business, was a breeze, with a great instructor. I would not recommend taking any math or English online, though, unless you are very fond of discussion boards and unnecessary homework. Other than that, I have had a great experience and would highly recommend NIC to anyone. I would especially recommend it to music students who want to get their generals done, and then transfer.
My name is Alexis Benner, I am a current freshmen at North Idaho College. My experience at NIC has shown to be positive so far.
I'm taking challenging courses like Bio 227 Lecture/Lab that has been rumored to be the hardest class out the tristate, fortunately, I have the nicest professor that are always ready to help by meeting up with me and answering any questions I may have.
The only down side to North Idaho College, is when times get tough their can sometimes be an overload of work. Other than some disorganizing schedules, NIC would be a great first optioned school for anyone just getting of high school or having a change in heart in career choices.
Students and teachers, will make your educational experience on NIC campus a time to remember and enjoy for the rest of your life.
