North Idaho College Reviews
When I enrolled in North Idaho College I was hesitant about whether I would enjoy it. Two years later I am thrilled to say that I have! I am a music major, and the music faculty are all very talented and friendly. Each of them has been a friend to me, and encouraged me to challenge myself and to transfer when I graduate. I have also found that most of the other professors are very helpful. I did find that online classes entailed much more work as a general rule, although INTR 250C, Integrative Business, was a breeze, with a great instructor. I would not recommend taking any math or English online, though, unless you are very fond of discussion boards and unnecessary homework. Other than that, I have had a great experience and would highly recommend NIC to anyone. I would especially recommend it to music students who want to get their generals done, and then transfer.
I had the best group of teachers I could have ever asked for this past semester. I took two language classes, both worth five credits a piece, and totally felt swamped with those classes alone, but the teachers were epic in helping me achieve a good grade and were absolutely supportive in every way. Speech class was a point of terror for me, but Professor Simkins was the absolute best possible! She made a potentially horrible class experience bearable and even enjoyable. I actually learned very useful and amazing tips for speaking that I used even before completing the class! She's totally the best speech teacher ever, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needed to take speech class. Geography with Professor Bill Richards didn't disappoint and I got a whole new perspective on things that I was determined that I would never use. On second thought... NIC is the best and I can't wait to start a new semester. Thanks to y'all!
Great start for your first 2 years of college! Not to big, not to small. Super fun during the begging of the fall semester because the campus is right on a beach where you can cool off during those hot days.
